Meanwhile in Tomahawk Alberta....

Last sunday I met with guys in Spruce Grove Ab and we headed out. We had about 22 cars in total ranging from 1988 to 2016. Here’s a few potato pics.

It was an awesome meet. We drove a few hundred kms, had a couple stops and enjoyed one another’s company. The sleepy town of Seba Beach AB was surprised when we showed up.

Sketchier to walk through that parking lot than Gary, Indiana at night.

That first pictures looks like all the Mustangs are saying, ‘come on, we can do it this time, it’s easy I’ve seen loads of cars do it, we just go up to the exit, go through do a 90 degree turn and drive away, how hard can it be?’.

“Hello group, I’m Shelby”,

#group# “hello Shelby”,

“It’s be three weeks since I last ate a spectator”,

#group# “well done Shelby”, ((sounds of car horns for applause)).

Beauty, just don’t eat the fish out of Wabamun..

Next hit up Alberta Beach just across the Yellowhead - it has a much better main strip to cruise on..

Saw a similar Chevy meet up running out to Waterton last weekend.

The white service station in the 2nd-last picture - I haven’t been past there in some time. When I was younger, we would pass by once a month when I went to my Dad’s.

More recently, one of the routes that took me to my Mom’s place went past there. But it’s been 2 or 3 years now since I’ve been out West.

I’m going to be in Stony and Spruce this November to see family. I get more eager as the day approaches!

Mustangs have evolved to hunt in packs now.

Actually maybe that’s why the tail waggles prior to attacking a spectator for dinner, like lions getting ready to pounce on their prey.

I never ventured east of the City, but I spent a lot of time around the West. Lived in SpruceGrove for a few years.

I was an Airrider; the VW club of Edmonton.. great girls and guys.

I don’t go east much either. I have almost no ties in Sask but a lot of friends in Northern BC (PG of course) and family in Vancouver area, both of which has you west bound on yellowhead.

I am a verfitiable expert on the drive between PG and Edmonton now having done it about 12 times this year. I know all the towns and how far in between each lol.

Haha, Yellowhead summed up; Boring, boring, boring, Park traffic, boring, boring. It works for either PG>Ed or Ed>PG..

Although we went through Mcbride once at 1am in the fiercest thunderstorm ever..

Last time I was in Jasper I was in a 20 kilometer 2000 car line up to get around an accident.

2000 cars! Good gravy!

Also the Mcbride to PG section you never feel like your making progress. Partially because it’s only trees (and rocks and trees and rocks....) and because also they only put kilometerage signs every 45kms or so.
